how long after an appendectomy could I start playing slowpitch softball again?
im just asking in case the doctors are correct and do in fact find something wrong tomorrow when i have my cat scan. if they are to operate, how long from then should i wait to play? i play at the jr. high level, and its not fastpitch. i am primarily the catcher, but sometimes my coach has me play outfield. i know this may seem silly to some, but i really need a good estimate. easy 10 points.
Easy 3-4 weeks maybe longer. Don't be foolish. You could tear open the incision or get a hernia. If you have it done with scopes instead of an open procedure, the recovery time is a little less. But, it's still abdominal surgery. You have to let it heal all the way.
