All of a sudden in my later 20's I'm diggin Alice Cooper, King Diamond, KISS, and more, is it just me? I was into all new wave, minimal electric, and post punk before, now I want to rock.
Kind Diamond and Iron Maiden FTW! These are my two favs. I am 33 now, and haven't stopped listening to metal since I was 9. I completely shrugged off the grunge scene, even though I was in Seattle at the time. It just didn't do it for me, as great metal is hard to top, and there's only one way to go from there, which is down. Something I didn't want to do. And, I think me being a guitar player had a lot to do with it. I remember listening to grunge, and saying WTF, can't anyone play a Goddamn solo anymore? Nice to hear that you like KD though, as I don't think too many know of him now, at least not like Iron Maiden. But, to answer your question, it is making a comeback. I've seen more Iron Maiden shirts in the past two years than probably I had in the 10 years before that.
